Summary of standard Terms and Conditions

  • For the safety and care of all children at Magic Daycare Nursery, entry may be refused on any day on which a child is infectious in any way. An exclusion policy exists for infectious conditions.
  • Any carer who suspects that a child may have been abused or neglected has a duty under the Children’s Act 1989 to report this to the relevant legislative bodies.
  • If feedback on the day’s activities is required, sufficient time must be allowed so parents can vacate the premises at the advertised closing time.
  • Magic Daycare Nursery cannot be held responsible for any missing unlabelled clothing.
  • Magic Daycare Nursery will endeavour to provide a place for a sibling but is under no obligation to do so, nor to give priority over children on the waiting list.
  • Terms and conditions may be varied by Magic Daycare Nursery from time to time.
  • Upon a place being made available, a deposit of £125.00 plus £25.00 registration fee would become payable in order to secure the place. The deposit will be refunded when your child leaves Magic Daycare Nursery providing that any outstanding fees are fully paid and the correct notice period is received in writing. Should any of these terms and conditions not be met, Magic Daycare Nursery reserves the right to retain the deposit in full.
  • The deposit cannot be refunded if a secured place is cancelled by the applicant within one month before or after the agreed start date.
  • Fees are subject to review at any time, with a minimum of one month’s notice.
  • Fees are payable one month in advance on the 26th of the preceding month. Non-payment of fees in advance or persistent late collection may result in the child being refused entry without notice.
  • In the event of illness or holidays, the full fee is payable to retain the place.
  • Six weeks’ written notice is required to terminate the agreement or to reduce attendance.
  • Parents must keep the nursery updated, in writing, in respect of any changes to family contact details, ongoing illnesses and allergies. Magic Daycare Nursery cannot be held responsible for difficulties arising from a condition or allergy about which we have not been informed.
  • It is accepted and acknowledged that from the date that a place is confirmed, during its term and for six months after it terminates, the parent/carer will neither directly nor indirectly employ or retain the self-employed or other services of any member of Magic Daycare Nursery staff with whom the parent/carer or the child/children have or have had contact/dealings, without prior consent in writing of Magic Daycare Nursery. Should this occur, parents/carers will be required to reimburse Magic Daycare Nursery, within 14 days of a request in writing for the same, a figure representing 20% of the relevant member of staff’s gross annual salary then payable on the date of the termination of that staff member’s employment at Magic Daycare Nursery.
  • Magic Daycare Nurseries accept no liability for any pecuniary or other loss suffered by the parent/carer arising directly or indirectly as a result of the nursery being temporarily closed or the non-admittance of the child for any reason.
